Terms & Conditions

1. About Me

I’m Carley Blythe, a UK-based Virtual Assistant providing email and DM management support, admin support, social media support and design services to clients on a freelance basis.

2. Services

When you book my services, we’ll agree the scope of work, timings and fees in writing (usually via email). I agree to:

  • Carry out the work with care, professionalism, and to the best of my ability.

  • Deliver services in line with the brief and deadlines we’ve agreed.

  • Keep you informed of progress and provide updates or reports as needed.

  • Work flexibly with other clients, as long as there’s no conflict of interest.

If either of us need to increase or decrease hours, one month’s written notice is required.

3. Fees & Payment

  • My rates are agreed individually with each client.

  • Payment is due upon receipt of invoice and within 7 working days. Work may be paused if payment is late. Packages must be paid for upfront before work can commence.

  • If any additional expenses are required (e.g. travel, tools), these will be agreed in advance and must be reimbursed with receipts.

4. Confidentiality

I take confidentiality seriously. During and after our work together, I will:

  • Never share your sensitive or confidential information with others.

  • Only use the information you provide for the purpose of delivering your services.

  • Comply with applicable data protection laws.

This applies to your data, your business, and anything related to our work.

5. Intellectual Property

Once full payment has been received, anything I’ve created for you (templates, documents, etc.) belongs to you. However, I may reuse general frameworks, processes, or tools that don’t contain your confidential information.

6. Termination

Either party can end the working relationship at any time with one month’s written notice. Immediate termination may apply if:

  • There’s a serious or repeated breach of these terms.

  • One party is no longer able to perform their role (e.g. due to illness).

  • Behaviour that damages trust or brings either party into disrepute.

7. Legal Bits

  • I’m a self-employed contractor and responsible for my own taxes and insurance.

  • Nothing in this agreement makes me your employee.

  • These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  • If any part of this policy becomes unenforceable, the rest still stands.
